En el pintoresco Camino de los Artesanos, Villa Giardino, Sierras de Córdoba, se

encuentra el local de Ecolighuen. Desciendo del auto y me encuentro con un paisaje increíble, pero, lo más hermoso es que, al atravesar la puerta del local, siento que ese entorno natural se percibe dentro y también en cada prenda. Allí me reciben Marcela y su hija. Es la primera vez que las veo, pero parece que nos conociéramos de hace mucho. Me cuentan en detalle el proceso que utilizan y el especial cuidado que ponen para que éste sea realmente amigable con el medio ambiente, resultado que han logrado luego de años dedicados a probar distintas técnicas y a rescatar saberes ancestrales.

Ellas han desarrollado una marca íntegramente basada en la moda sustentable,

estableciendo una conexión entre la MADRE TIERRA y el arte textil; creando

prendas exclusivas, estampadas artesanalmente con tintes naturales.

El Sol, el Aire, la Tierra, el Viento y el Agua realizan la magia de la Impresión

Botánica (ecoprint) logrando así prendas libres de tóxicos. Obtienen el material tintóreo de las especies silvestres del lugar, teniendo en cuenta la manera y la época de esta labor para preservar el monte serrano. También cuentan con su propio vivero de flores y algunas especies que no se obtienen del entorno y son utilizadas en las estampas.

Las prendas están confeccionadas con textiles de excelente composición que el

mercado descarta. No se generan residuos y, el excedente es convertido en objetos

de uso pequeños o bien donado a instituciones educativas de la zona para ser

utilizado en artes plásticas.

La misión de la marca es brindar un producto que responda de manera ética y

comprometida con el cuidado del medio ambiente y de las personas que lo llevan

On the picturesque Camino de los Artesanos, Villa Giardino, Sierras de Córdoba, is the Ecolighuen shop. I get out of the car and find myself surrounded by an incredible landscape, but the most beautiful thing is that when I walk through the shop's door, I feel that this natural environment is present inside and in every garment. There, Marcela and her daughter welcome me. It's the first time I meet them, but it feels like we've known each other for a long time. They tell me in detail about the process they use and the special care they take to make it truly environmentally friendly — a result they have achieved after years dedicated to testing different techniques and reviving ancestral knowledge.

They have developed a brand entirely based on sustainable fashion, establishing a connection between MOTHER EARTH and textile art; creating exclusive garments, artisanally printed with natural dyes.

The Sun, Air, Earth, Wind, and Water perform the magic of Botanical Printing (ecoprint), thus achieving toxin-free garments. They obtain the dye materials from local wild species, considering the method and timing of this work to preserve the mountainous woodland. They also have their own nursery with flowers and some species not found locally, which are used in the prints. The garments are made with textiles of excellent quality that the market discards. No waste is generated, and any excess is turned into small everyday objects or donated to local educational institutions for use in plastic arts.
